About
The KristiKay Diary
Fashion Leads, Life Reflects Personality
The KristiKay Diary is an independent editorial blog about the intersection of style, beauty, and women's wellness — written from the perspective of someone who reads the ingredient list before she reads the marketing copy.
What we cover
The site publishes long-form reviews, science-backed guides, and honest opinion pieces in five core areas:
- Editor's Picks — the small handful of products and ideas worth your attention this season.
- Fashion & Style — wardrobe essentials, sustainable picks, and performance apparel that's actually been tested in motion.
- Beauty & Skincare — style guides, makeup reviews, and ingredient deep-dives that go past the brand-speak.
- Health & Wellness — period care, hormonal health, and the surprisingly chemistry-heavy world of "wellness" products.
- Skincare Science — the concentration matters more than the brand.
How we review
Editorial decisions follow a consistent process:
- We pick the topic, not a sponsor. If a product enters our coverage, it does so because the topic is timely or under-covered, not because a brand paid for placement.
- Hands-on testing wherever possible. For wearables (period swimwear, lipstick longevity tests, etc.), we run real-life trials over weeks, not single-session impressions.
- Cited sources for science claims. When a post invokes a study or clinical guideline, we link to the primary source so you can verify it yourself.
- Negative findings stay negative. If a product underperforms, the post says so — even if there's an affiliate link in the article.
How to support the site
We make a small commission when readers buy through some of the links on the site — see our affiliate disclosure for the full picture. Beyond that, the most useful thing you can do is share a post that helped you, or email us with corrections and ideas. We read every email.
